This notice is to inform you about several critical new directives issued by the China Visa Application Centre (VFS), New Delhi, affecting the acceptance of visa applications. These updates are effective immediately, and failure to comply will result in rejection at the submission stage.
1. No Columns to Be Left Blank in the Online Visa Form
The China Visa Application Centre (Delhi) will not accept any visa application if any field in the Online China Visa Application Form is left blank.
Applicants must ensure every section is completed, without exception.
2. Mandatory Submission of Old Passport
Applicants are now required to provide their old passport(s) along with the visa application and supporting documents.
3. Mandatory Entry of Flight Number in Visa Form (Column 6.1)
The “Flight Number” field is now compulsory.
- Only actual flight numbers (e.g., CA948, MU564) will be accepted.
- Entries like “By Air”, “TBA”, or Airline Names are not permitted.
- Applications without a valid flight number will not be accepted at all.
4. Company Stamp Specifications
Only Round or Oval company stamps will be accepted on:
- Cover Letters
- Invitation Letters
Any other stamp shape may lead to rejection.
5. National Id copy of Inviter.
National I’d must be issued by the People’s Republic of China. Id’s issued by the Mainland of China will not be acceptable.
6. Chinese company registration Requirements
Only Registration certificate of the Chinese company will be accepted by the embassy, Business/Trade Licence will not be accepted.
7. Name Mismatch Requirements
If the applicant’s name on the Current Passport and Old Passport is not an exact match, the applicant must provide an affidavit confirming the correct name.
8. Duration of Stay Selection
In the visa form, applicants must select:
“Duration of Stay: 30 days”
Even if the actual stay is shorter, this option must be chosen.
9. Correct Visa Category Mandatory
Applicants must choose the correct visa category (Single Entry, Double entry or Multiple Entry, etc.). Visa category must be same on all documents (Visa form, Cover letter & Invite letter) Incorrect category selection will result in rejection of submission.
10. Barcode Requirement
Barcode is mandatory on all pages of application form, VFS will not accept any application if barcode is missing on any page.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Today, all applications submitted were returned by VFS due to non-compliance with these new requirements. Even applicants who personally visited the centre were unable to submit their applications.
We request your cooperation and understanding as these changes may cause temporary delays while forms and documents are updated.
These changes are current as of today. VFS may update the requirements again on Monday, as we’ve already seen happen this week.
